Nebelski leads Hollidaysburg hockey to victory

EBENSBURG — The Hollidaysburg ice hockey team defeated Richland, 8-0, Tuesday night at the Northern Cambria Rec Center.

The Golden Tigers got four goals from Nate Nebelski and two from Michael Solimando. Justin Singer and Zach Dunlap each added a solo goal. Teammate David Zoerner chipped in three assists while Solimando and Singer added two assists each.

Nebelski and Kolby Kirkham each added an assist.

Goalie Jonah Snowberger stopped all 19 shots he faced.

The Golden Tigers are off until Thursday, Dec. 13, when they play Bishop Guilfoyle at Galactic Ice.

Stuart sparks GC boys

JERSEY SHORE — Josh Stuart scored 25 points to go with 20 points from Jake Foster as the Great Commission boys basketball team beat Walnut Street Christian, 51-48, in high school action.

Foster also finished with 16 rebounds for the Bears, who trailed, 26-22, at the break before using a 21-6 third-quarter showing to get a victory.

Braden Borowics had 33 points for Walnut Street Christian.

Lady Bears falter

JERSEY SHORE — Walnut Street Christian defeated Great Commission, 40-20, in high school girls basketball action Tuesday night.

The Lady Bears, down 20-18 at halftime, were outscored 20-2 in the second half.

Sami Long led Great Commission with 12 points. Amelia Smith led Walnut Christian with 23 points.
