Juniata College winds up winless in 2018

SELINSGROVE — The Juniata College football team ended its 2018 season on Saturday with a 24-6 loss at Susquehanna.

The Eagles finished the year 0-10.

Juniata got its only touchdown in the fourth quarter when Daulton Snyder caught a 34-yard pass from Tim Graham. The two-point conversion pass failed.

Snyder finished with six pass receptions for 77 yards, while Graham wound up completing 30 of 51 passes for 265 yards and no interceptions. Defensively, Juniata’s Kaleb Weyant and Joel Reighard combined to make 18 tackles.

Susquehanna (7-3) was led by Aaron Speight’s 177 yards rushing on 15 carries and one touchdown.

Ending on a sour note

INDIANA — The IUP football team, which came into the game ranked No. 23 in Division II in the country, ended its season on a down note, losing at home to unranked Shippensburg, 45-21.

IUP (8-3) trailed 21-7 at halftime, scoring only on a Justice Evans 31-yard touchdown run. The Crimson Hawks got second-half touchdown runs from Lenny Williams (4 yards) and Samir Bullock (2 yards).

Shippensburg, which had two interception returns for scores in the game, ended up 6-5.
