Trio leads Eagles to victory over rival Bellwood

TYRONE — Sam Ayers, Chris Wilkins, and Trey Kyle led the Golden Eagles with scores under 50 as Tyrone out-paced Bellwood-Antis, 190-260, Wednesday afternoon in a nine-hole high school golf match at Sinking Valley.

Ayers led the Golden Eagles after a shooting a match-low 44, followed by Wilkins (47) and Kyle (49).

Noah Patton was the Blue Devils’ top performer after shooting a 61.

BELLWOOD-ANTIS (260): Patton 61, Gathagan 65, Malone 67, Anderson 67, McClellan 68, Brown 68.

Two tie for medal

FERNDALE –Austin Gentile and Jon Brickley of Portage both shot a 44 to tie for medalist honors as the Mustangs edged out Conemaugh Township, 234-238, and defeated host Ferndale, 234-275.

Township’s Grace Thomas also shot of a 44 for the Indians’ top score. Brady Snyder shot a 46 for Ferndale.
