Bedford’s Thomas reaches 100-goal milestone

H.S. girls soccer

BEDFORD — Amber Thomas scored four goals, including the 100th of her career, in Bedford’s 12-0 victory over Bishop Carroll in high school girls soccer action on Thursday.

Thomas had her third straight game with four goals. Jenna Brown contributed three goals and two assists, and keeper Lindsay Mowry recorded the shutout.

DuBOIS — Altoona exploded for six second-half goals and routed DuBois to improve to 4-1.

Becca Dull recorded a hat trick with the final three goals of the game. Cassie Kyle had two goals and two assists, Lauren Kiser scored two goals, and Darrian Berkheimer and Morgan Sarver each contributed a goal and an assist.

Julia Lane recorded the shutout in goal.

Karli Storm scored twice, including the second of three Cambria Heights goals in the second half as the Lady Highlanders moved past Bishop Guilfoyle at Tom Irwin Field.

Gretta Levine and Aurielle Brunner scored the game’s first two goals to put the Marauders up early, and Brunner scored again at the 32:19 mark of the second half.

Molly Hayes had seven saves in goal for Cambria Heights, while Guilfoyle’s Maren Stayer had 15 saves.
