B-A, P-O win two

BELLWOOD — Kenny Robison won the boys race in 20 minutes, 26 seconds, and Jenna Bartlett took the girls race in 21:40 to lead both the Bellwood-Antis High School cross country teams to victories over Central on Thursday.

The boys won, 21-35, and the girls won, 16-45.

Caden Hazenstab finished third in the boys race for Central, and Lauren Crilly took fifth for the Lady Dragons.

Mounties open strong

MORRISDALE — Scott Frantz (19:46) and Josh Rea (20:00) finished first and second, respectively, to lead the Philipsburg-Osceola boys over West Branch, 20-35.

In girls action, West Branch’s Hailey Prestash finished first with a time of 24:27, but Philipsburg’s Samantha Bainey (25:44) and Megan Kosut (25:47) were close behind and helped the Philipsburg girls move past the Lady Warriors, 20-30.
