Title games set for summer

Superior Detailing & Accessories defeated Powerhouse Subs, 89-62, Thursday night in the Division I semifinals of the Mansion Park Men’s Summer Basketball League at Pleasant Valley.

The game was finished on Thursday night after getting suspended because of rain on Wednesday night.

Isaac Vescovi scored 27 points for the winners while Jordan Griffith led Powerhouse with 18 points.

In Division V action, Shoot for the Cause and RC’s Print Specialists were both semifinal winners. RC won 52-49 over Imler’s Poultry behind Josh Settle’s 26 points. Cam Baldessaro scored 16 points for Imler’s.

Shoot for the Cause beat EZtoUse.com, 59-40, thanks to 18 points from Mike Scharf. David Smith led EZtoUse with 12 points.

In Division IV semifinal action, Solid Rock beat Minetech Engineers, 37-27, behind 13 points from Jim Rush. Tyler Sweeny’s 10 points were tops for Minetech. Mike’s Court won the other semi, 42-36, over Traficante Family Chiropractic, thanks to 16 points from Zach George. Steve Novak led Traficante’s with eight points.

Next week, the title games will be played on Monday and Tuesday at Pleasant Valley. On Monday, Division V will go at 5 with Division IV at 5:50 p.m. Division III will follow at 6:40. On Tuesday, Division II will go at 5:30 p.m., followed by Division I at 6:30 p.m.
