Red Flash naming student section

LORETTO — Saint Francis Athletics is looking for a new nickname for its student section at its athletics events. Saint Francis students and student groups, including clubs, organizations, fraternities and sororities, are encouraged to submit their ideas.

Submissions for the new nickname will be collected through the end of the first week of classes. Students should submit their idea and a short description of why the name should be considered.

Beginning on Monday, September 3, the best sixteen names will be placed into a four-round, single-elimination tournament bracket.

The winning name will be unveiled at Saint Francis’ Home Coming Game on October 20 vs. Duquesne. A banner with the new name will be hung at the top of the student section at DeGol Field and DeGol Arena.

The individual or group who submits the winning name will receive a VIP Tailgate before the Homecoming game. They will also receive a voucher for Adamucci’s Cafe, a punch card for free concession stand items at home basketball games and bragging rights as the name carries through Saint Francis University history.
