PennCrest Bank wins Deremer League title

PennCrest Bank won the 2018 Altoona Teener League 14-15 year-old Deremer League title after taking the first two games in the best-of-three championship series against Professionals Auto Body on Saturday night at Seitz Field.

PennCrest won game one, 4-3, with Matt Moyer, Hunter Emerick and Landon Meadows each driving in one run. Moyer and Braden Callahan each had two hits for PennCrest in game one.

In game two, PennCrest’s offense exploded as Camden Cavalet batted in three runs, and Emerick, Nick White and Nick Peterson each brought home two runs as PennCrest clinched the championship in an 11-6 win.

Nathan Sell, who picked up wins in game’s one and two, came on in the top of the seventh inning in game one and pitched the final three innings of game two.
