Williamsburg dominates in sweeping St. Joe’s

WILLIAMSBURG — Williamsburg needed just seven total innings to win two games against Saint Joseph’s.

The Blue Pirates took the opener, 17-2, in three innings, then needed four to record the sweep, 19-2.

Jared Webb led the way in the first game with three RBIs, while Drew Hileman smacked three hits and scored three times, and Nick Michelone crossed the plate four times for Williamsburg and tossed a one-hitter.

In the second game, Josiah Dowey knocked in five runs on two hits, while Hileman had three hits and two RBIs, Ben Post tallied two hits, and Michelone drove in three runs for the Pirates. Wes McCall recorded three hits and Ty Clark delivered two for the winners.
