PHILIPSBURG — With the score tied 5-5, Philipsburg-Osceola scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and held on to beat Central, 7-5, in a Mountain League high school softball game on Wednesday.

Kylie Adams, in relief of Kam Harris, pitched 1ª innings of scoreless ball to earn the victory.

Kylie Thal had a home run and three RBIs for P-O, Harris had a home run, single and two RBIs, and Lacey Potter contributed two hits and two runs.

Cam Feathers had two hits, including a home run, and four RBIs for Central, Jenna Ritchey had two hits and two runs, and Tori Longenecker smacked a solo home run.

HOUTZDALE — Makenzie Lukehart had two hits and three RBIs in game 2 to help Glendale gain a split of a twinbill with Moshannon Valley.

The Damsels won the opener, 6-4, behind three hits and an RBI from Sidney Lewis. Emma Kitko added two hits, while Madison O’Donnell added a home run.

In the nightcdap, Lukehart’s offense led to a five-inning 13-3 victory. She got help from Cassidy Hamilton, who added two RBIs and Olivia Reese, who added two hits and an RBI. Lewis added two more hits and three RBIs.

EVERETT — Everett took two from McConnellsburg behind the pitching of Jacie Martin and Kristen Ewing.

In the opener, Martin gave up two hits, struck out 11 and walked no one in a 7-0 victory. She helped out with a two-run homer. Alex Iseminger added three hits and scored two runs to go with Taylor Sobzack’s two RBIs.
