Lady Panthers sweep twinbill to move to 8-1

SIDMAN — Penn Cambria improved to 8-1 overall with a twinbill seep of Forest Hills in high school softball on Monday.

In the 11-0 opener, Lexi Strasser had three hits and two RBIs to go with Syd Reese’s two hits and three RBIs. Winning pitcher Casey Reese added two hits and two RBIs to go with Katrina Britton’s two hits and two RBIs. Casey Reese scattered five hits, struck out eight and walked just one.

In the 14-3 nightcap, Casey and Syd Reese each had four hits and three RBIs to go with winning pitcher Macy Sral’s three hits and three RBIs. Teammate Lora Davis added two hits and two RBIs.

Carly Clark collected three hits (double, two singles) for Carroll, which also got a double, single and two RBIs from Alivia Borlie. Theresa Dodson accounted for two of Guilfoyle’s five hits.

Farabaugh hit a three-run homer and a two-run homer for Heights, which improved to 7-0 overall and 6-0 in the section. Morgan Schreyer hit a three-run homer, Chloe Weakland belted a two-run homer, and Arianna Westrick drove in three runs for Heights. Central Cambria got two RBIs from Cassidy Bezek.
