Heck, Lady Panthers knock off Williamsburg

LOYSBURG — Sarah Heck fanned 11, and Northern Bedford erupted for seven runs in the bottom of the fourth in a 9-3 Inter-County Conference interdivisional softball win over visiting Williamsburg on Thursday.

Alyssa Foor knocked in two runs, Britt Ebersole and Allie Snider collected two hits apiece, and Krysta Kennedy tripled to front the Lady Panthers. Paige Gunnett’s two hits and two RBIs keyed Williamsburg, which also got a pair of hits from Alexi McMonagle and Elizabeth Frederick.

Matherson Wansley’s seventh-inning single plated Evan Alwine with the winning run as J&P Auto Mart came back from a four-run deficit in its last two at-bats to post a 6-5 win over M&T Bank in Altoona Teener 13-year-old baseball action.

Marcus Amerine collected three hits and two RBIs for J&P, and Landon Houser recorded two hits and two RBIs. Winning pitcher Jacob Martin tossed a complete game.
