Hall’s single caps 3-run rally for in Panther win

LILLY — Penn Cambria rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to post a 5-4 Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference high school baseball win over Bedford on Friday.

Dominic Hall capped off the rally with a bases-loaded, two-out single that drove home Brock Talko with the winning run after bases-loaded walks to Talko and Salvador Cabrera forced in two runs earlier in the inning.

DuBOIS — The winning pitcher in both games, Brenden Hileman went 4-for-4 with two doubles and four RBIs in the nightcap to help Hollidaysburg complete its doubleheader sweep at DuBois.

Hileman also was 2-for-3 in the first game.

Preston Shoemaker keyed the Golden Tigers in the opener, going 3-for-4 with three runs. Hollidaysburg trailed after one inning following Hunter Schneider’s grand slam for DuBois.

Shoemaker was 2-for-5 with three runs in the second game, as Hollidaysburg overcame a 3-for-3 performance by DuBois’ Jordan Swauger.

Caleb Gampe and Keaton Nolan drove in two runs in each game.
