Why I picked Grace College: “The environment on campus was outstanding, and it was a great fit for my major. Also, I felt that it will be an awesome place for me to grow spiritually.”

Greatest high school achievement: Getting inducted into the National Honor Society and winning the Mountain League MVP

Coach Reggie Nevins quote: “I felt Joey was the best all-around player in the area. His stats speak for themselves. Joey was an outstanding player for us. He was relentless on defense and played with total effort non-stop. Joey is a fantastic rebounder and excellent with the ball for a guy 6-foot-5. His best basketball days have yet to come. We are all super-pleased that Joey is going to have the opportunity to continue his career at a higher level. Beyond his basketball ability, Joey is as nice of a young man that I have ever coached. He has been committed to making his parents and family, his church, and CHS proud.”

How I got my start playing: “I was involved with a lot of sports when I was young, and basketball caught my interest most.”

Favorite college growing up: Penn State
