LILLY — Blake Pellegrino scored twice for Central Cambria, and Devin Renzi had two hits as the Red Devils scored in five of seven innings in a 5-4 win over Penn Cambria in high school baseball on Wednesday.

Tanner Perrone went 3-for-3 with a homer for Penn Cambria.

SIDMAN — Bishop Guilfoyle was edged out in both games of a Laurel Highlands Conference doubleheader.

Guilfoyle lost game one, 7-4, as John Fanelli drove in three Marauder runs, including one on a solo homer in the fifth inning.

In game two, Jake Shope scored on a one-out passed ball for a 13-12 Ranger victory. Austin Lewis went 4-for-4 for Guilfoyle with two runs and three RBIs. Fanelli added three hits, while Gaige Reighard knocked in two runs for the Marauders.

PORTAGE — Portage broke open a close WestPAC North contest against Conemaugh Valley with eight runs in its final three at-bats, ending the game early with a three-spot in the bottom of the sixth.

Zach Wiggins doubled and drove in three runs for the Mustangs, who received three-hit pitching from Jacob Irvin. Jackson Kozlovac and Seth George each had two hits and two runs for Portage, with George knocking in three runs.

MORRISDALE — The bottom of Claysburg-Kimmel’s lineup came through in a big way in helping the Bulldogs roll past West Branch.

Claysburg hitters six through nine — Corey Chamberlain, Ty Hagen, R.J. Helsel and Deegan Feather — combined to go 12-for-16 with five RBIs and eight runs scored. Feather went 4-for-4, Chamberlain and Helsel each had three hits and two RBIs, and Hagen had two hits.

Leadoff hitter Canaan Burket had two hits and three RBIs for Claysburg. Chamberlain earned the complete-game win. Will Herring went 3-for-3 for West Branch, and Josh Cantolina had two hits and two RBIs.
