Bedford, Ridge split doubleheader; Hollidaysburg sweeps Guilfoyle

NEW PARIS — Kaitlin Brunelli homered twice, including a grand slam that highlighted a six-run sixth inning, as Bedford earned a split with Chestnut Ridge in high school softball action on Friday.

Brunelli finished with four hits and six RBIs as the Lady Bisons emerged with an 8-6 triumph. She had six hits over the two games.

Ridge’s Kayla Diehl homered in each game, finishing the twinbill with four hits and three RBIs. She also pitched a complete-game, three-hitter in the first game, won 11-1 by Ridge, when Payton Whysong, Attie Milliron, Lydia Mock and Samantha Baney each had two hits and two RBIs for the Lady Lions.
