EVERETT — Ashley Negley went 4-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs to power Central to a 13-8 victory over Everett in high school softball on Wednesday.

Maddi Metzler and Grace Baker each had two hits for Central, Tori Longenecker scored four runs, and Dylan Claycomb worked five innings for the win.

Brooke Colledge had two hits and four RBIs for Everett, Alex Iseminger had two hits and two RBIs, and Brittany Ewing added three hits.

TYRONE — Philipsburg-Osceola scored all of its runs in the top of the fourth inning to take a Mountain League contest at Tyrone.

Rachel Simpson drove in two runs for P-O, which received two hits apiece from Kylie Thal and Maddie Lucas. Lady Mountie pitcher Kylie Adams scattered five hits while striking out nine to outduel Tyrone’s Cate Baran, who limited P-O to six hits and fanned 12.

Grace Gensimore doubled twice for the Lady Eagles.

Kirsten Weakland’s grand slam highlighted an eight-run top of the second, and Cambria Heights opened the season with a Laurel Highlands Conference win at Bishop Guilfoyle.

Heights’ Abby Lobick doubled, singled twice, drove in two runs and combined with Charlotte Farabaugh on a one-hitter. Paige Jones also had three hits for the Lady Highlanders, while Mackenzie Blake and Emma Stockley each garnered two. Sydney Berish’s first-inning single for Guilfoyle averted the no-hit bid.
