Maceno powers Lady Eagles in season-opening victory

CLEARFIELD — Callie Maceno homered, singled four times and drove in four runs, and Emily Hamer doubled to go with three singles and a pair of RBIs as Tyrone opened the season with an 18-8 Mountain League win at Clearfield in high school softball on Friday.

Emily Lehman doubled and knocked in three runs for the Lady Eagles, who also got two hits apiece from Ella Pearson, Alley Jones, Grace Gensimore and Emily Baran; Tyrone piled up 21 hits. Erica Hanes and Aspen Bishop homered for Clearfield.
