Hollidaysburg beats Central

Mo Valley, JV record no-hitters

MARTINSBURG — Brendan Hileman had three hits and drove home two runs, and Collin Stevenson knocked home three runs, to lead Hollidaysburg past host Central, 12-8, in high school baseball action on Wednesday.

Ethan Lieb and Caleb Gampe — who had two hits — both drove home two runs for the Golden Tigers, who built a 9-2 third-inning lead.

Central (1-5) got three hits from Vince Miller and two RBIs and two hits from Preston Karstetter.

Hollidaysburg improved its record to 2-3.

Ty Diehl and Brodie Harbaugh combined on a two-hit shutout with Diehl throwing the first four innings. Justin McCoy had two hits and two RBIs, and Issac Whysong drove in two runs.
