Guilfoyle doubles-up Penn Cambria

Six different Maruaders scored, and John Fanelli and Danny Carrieri each drove in two runs as Bishop Guilfoyle beat Penn Cambria in a Laurel Highlands Conference, 6-3, in a Laurel Highlands Conference high school baseball game on Thursday at Vets Field.

Kenta Okada went 2-for-3 for Guilfoyle. Braedon O’Donnell, Elijah Noel and Salvador Cabrera scored for Penn Cambria, which fell to 6-3.

HUNTINGDON — Nick Holesa went 3-for-4 with a home run, and Nick Zanic scored four runs to spark Huntingdon to a 10-1 victory over Tyrone in the first half of a double header.

The Golden Eagles’ Kevin Lehner went 3-for-3 and scored a run in the first game.

In game two, Holesa had added three RBIs to his day, and Zanic scored twice more, while Landon Fisher and Alex Mykut each drove in two runs as Huntingdon pulled away for an 8-5 win.

Tyrone’s Adam Gearhart had two RBIs.

The Hornets put up three runs in the fourth inning to go out ahead when Nathan Richner led off with a double, and Alec Hess reached on an error before Caden Rupert scored Richner, and Gabe Brower brought everyone else home with a single. Valley improved to 8-1.
