Altoona’s offense breaks out

Ian Yon went 4-for-5 with two doubles and two RBIs, and Altoona scored six runs in the sixth inning to break a tie game and beat St. Marys, 12-6, in high school baseball on Friday at Mansion Park.

Matt Hartman went 3-for-5 for Altoona, and John Gority had a tie-breaking single in the sixth for the Mountain Lions. Cole Gibson pitched the final four innings for the win.
