Everett rifle still perfect

BOSWELL — The Everett Area High School rifle team improved to 11-0 Tuesday, thanks to a 1,400-1,302 win over North Star.

The Warriors got a 291 from Camden Donahoe, while Luke Brambley added a 281. North Star was led by Nathan Rininger with a 273.

EVERETT (1400): Donahoe 291, Brambley 281, Klavuhn 279, Kuhne 276, Fmura 273.

NORTH STAR (1,302): Rininger 273, Shrotyer 272, Barron 259, Thomas 252, Buchanan 246.

Altoona White wins

Nick Petucci led a balanced attack with 12 points as Altoona White downed Tyrone, 57-51, at the Altoona Area Junior High School Fieldhouse in freshman boys basketball.

Scott Lawhead and Aidan Kelly each added 11 points as Altoona improved to 9-7 on the season.

Tyrone, which dropped to 15-3 on the season, got 20 points from Landen DeHaas, 16 from Cortland Rhoades and 15 from David Lange.

ALTOONA WHITE (57): Petucci 12, Lawhead 11, Kelly 11, Cornelius 6, Rossman 5, Franklin 8, Frank 2, Vrabel 2.

Central Cambria wins

PATTON — Nate Wyrwas scored 11 points to lead Central Cambria past Cambria Heights, 40-38, in freshman boys basketball action.

Heights received 13 points from Brett Harrison and 10 points from Hunter Yeckley.

The Red Devils improved to 3-10 while the Highlanders fell to 4-9.
