PSU Altoona falls on road at Hilbert

HAMBURG, N.Y. — The Penn State Altoona men suffered their first Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference loss of the season on Saturday afternoon, 74-71, at Hilbert College.

The Lions’ Rich Bouknight and Dequan Jackson tied for the team-high in scoring, totaling 16 points each. Bouknight added four rebounds, while Jackson grabbed five boards to go along with a game-high five steals.

Eagles soar

HUNTINGDON — Marcus Lee’s 23 points led the Juniata men to an easy 70-44 win over Scranton.

Brandon Martinazzi had 15 points for Juniata, while Damon Rickens added 12.

Mount men win

BUFFALO — Ramel Stephens and Tommy Pisula scored 14 points apiece to lead the Mount Aloysius men past D’Youville, 71-66.

Julian Stover had 13 points off the bench for Mount Aloysius (1-3, 1-0 AMCC), while Trent McErlane had 12 points and Josiah Jones 10.

Lady Lions fall

HAMBURG, N.Y. — The Penn State Altoona women came up on the losing end at Hilbert College, 59-50.

Megan Wheeler led Penn State Altoona with 15 points and eight rebounds. Alexis Stitt added nine points, and Finnley Christine had six points and six rebounds.

Juniata women win

HUNTINGDON — Dani Atkinson scored a game-high 23 points to lead the Juniata women to a 62-54 win over Scranton.

Morgan Instone had 14 points for Juniata, and Veronica Cosmopolis added 12.

Mount women roll

BUFFALO — Alexia Servello scored 18 points to lead the Mount Aloysius women in an 81-49 rout at D’Youville.

Katie Bracken had 13 points for Mount Aloysius (3-2, 1-0 AMCC), while Jessa Wright and Abby Kulick added 13 apiece.
