Ridge shuts out Panthers; Central girls prevail

NEW PARIS — Chestnut Ridge received goals from Ian Anderson, Connor Roose, and Logan Cooper in a 3-0 shutout win at home over Northern Bedford in a Sideling Hill League high school boys soccer on Tuesday.

Ridge improved to 6-8-1.

JOHNSTOWN — Bedford fell to 9-7-1 with a loss to Bishop McCort at Point Stadium in a game the Crimson Crushers led, 2-0, at halftime.

Lucas Conahan scored twice for the winners.

NEW PARIS — Madison Cottle found the net twice, and Jordan Helsley collected a goal and four assists as Northern Bedford scored three goals in the second half in posting a Sideling Hill victory at Chestnut Ridge.

Sadie McConnell came up with a goal and two assists for the Lady Panthers, who also received a goal from Katie Corle.
