Lady Spikers pick up victory No. 8 on road
LEWISTOWN — The Altoona girls volleyball team improved to 8-5 Monday night, thanks to a 25-15, 25-17, 25-19 win at Mifflin County in high school action.
The Lady Spikers got 43 digs and 20 service points from Kaila Clawson while Emily Albright added 44 assists and 12 service points. Kenzie Kirwin added 20 kills.

Carroll wins in three
MARTINSBURG — Bishop Carroll defeated Cedntral, 25-9, 25-13, 25-14 behind 15 service points from Kate Yahner, 13 from Maddie Murphy and 10 more from Mara Yahner.
Caroline Ratchford added seven kills while Kayla Repko totaled 19 assists.
Bethany Wyant had three service points and four kills for Central.

Rice leads Tyrone
TYRONE — Ebonee Rice’s 14 service points, including four aces, and 13 digs lead Tyrone to a sweep of Central Mountain, 25-17, 25-14, 25-15.
Mattie Cherry recorded 21 assists and six service points, Brianna Foy amassed 12 digs, seven kills and seven points, and Logan Johnston contributed 11 service points for the Lady Golden Eagles.

Lady Tigers swept
LIGONIER — Ligonier Valley was able to take care of Hollidaysburg in three sets, 25-21, 25-19, 25-20.
Claire Sauerland led the Lady Tigers with 10 service points, including two aces, seven kills and five digs, while Rylee Ritko tallied seven digs and four kills, Eden Taddei collected five kills and four digs and MacKenzie Reed handed out 14 assists.
