Altoona prevails

H.S. boys soccer

Altoona fell behind 1-0 but stormed back to beat Westmont Hilltop, 4-1, in high school boys soccer on Saturday at Mansion Park.

Michael Bartley, Jarod Marasco, Austin Kravetz and Jarrett Schmidhamer scored for the Lions.

Afterward, more than 30 former Altoona players participated in an alumni game, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the program.

Lucas Scordo had a goal and an assist, and Connor Pielmeier had a goal. Keeper Ethan Pinter made two saves for the shutout.
