Tyrone boys nip Central in OT

H.S. soccer

TYRONE — Tyrone’s Corey Johnston scored three times and assisted on another goal Saturday in a 5-4 overtime win over Central in high school boys soccer action.

Johnston got an assist from Andrew Pearson at 18:18 in the first half to put the Golden Eagles (2-0) up first and hit a penalty kick at 24:06 of the second half to tie the game at four and force overtime. Johnston picked up an Asher Christine assist at 5:36 to send the Scarlet Dragons to their third loss in as many games.

Tarald Mosdal scored twice for the Dragons.

Hollidaysburg scored its only goal on a Sydney Routch shot in the first half. Alyssa Bell got the assist.
