Tussey clips Williamsburg; Central prevails over Huntingdon

SAXTON — Faith Barnett pitched a five-hitter in helping Tussey Mountain to a 4-0 win over visiting Williamsburg in an interdivisional Inter-County Conference softball clash on Monday.

The Lady Titans, now 10-7, got three hits and an RBI from Bailey Fields. Williamsburg got two hits from Alexi McMonagle.

MORRISDALE — Winning pitcher Lexi Mulhollen had three hits, including a double, and also drove in two runs, to lead Glendale to a victory over rival West Branch in a game which counted in both the Inter-County Conference North Division and Moshannon Valley League standings.

Mulhollen pitched a complete game, scattering eight hits, as Glendale improved to 14-4 overall. Brooke Smeal had two hits, including a triple, and drove in a run for the Lady Vikings.

Sydney Lingenfelter homered for the Lady Panthers, which also received two hits apiece from Brittany Ebersole and Kelsey Over and two RBIs from Peyton Leidy.

HOUTZDALE — Winning pitcher Sidney Lewis drove in four runs with a solo homer, RBI triple and two-run single, to lead Moshannon Valley to a Moshannon Valley League win over Harmony in a game that was stopped by the 10-run mercy rule in the sixth inning.

Emma Kitko drove in two runs, and Chloe Blake had two hits and an RBI for Mo Valley, which improved to 7-9 overall and 2-2 in the league.

NORTHERN CAMBRIA — In a preview of the teams’ District 6 Class 2A quarterfinal playoff game on May 22, Northern Cambria posted three runs in the bottom of the fifth and then held off a late Marion Center rally to notch a Heritage Conference victory.

Mallery Bernard double and drove in two runs for the Lady Colts. Taylor Weiland got the win pitching in 5 ª innings of relief pitching. A complete box was unavailable.
