Mysterio coming to Jaffa

Big Time Wrestling’s masters of the mat return to Altoona on Friday for a jam-packed show featuring legendary masked high-flier and two-time WWE Champion Rey Mysterio Jr.

The seven-match mega-event begins at 8 p.m. in the Jaffa Shrine, 2200 Broad Ave. Suitable for the entire family, the event will be preceded by a FanFest meet-and-greet where fans have the opportunity to meet the stars up-close.

“Altoona has become a homebase of sorts for Big Time Wrestling,” BTW owner Steve Perkins said. “We are here so often, love coming back and can’t wait to see everyone again on April 21.”

Also stepping between the ropes are “Grand Master Sexay” Brian Christopher, Gillberg, BTW Champion Flex Armstrong, “The Neon Ninja” Facade and a mystery wrestling star to be announced later.

A winner of the WWE triple crown, collecting the WWE, Intercontinental and Tag Team championships.

“I remember competing multiples times in Johnstown and State College, now it will be great to come out and meet the fans,” Mysterio Jr. said.
