McCabe, Dean Patterson moving on

McCabe Trucking of Claysburg punched its ticket into tonight’s semifinals of the Dean Patterson Little World Series with a 16-10 victory over Upper Deck of Williamsburg on Wednesday at the Altoona Independent Youth Baseball League’s Centennial Field.

McCabe will now meet East End League’s Dean Patterson in tonight’s second semifinal game at 8 p.m. East End’s Cumming Motors plays East End’s Penn Med in the other semifinal tonight at 6.

Seth Musselman belted two home runs for McCabe, and he and Canaan Burkett each had three hits. Parker Dibert also homered, and Corey Chamberlain added two hits.

Cody Copper smacked a home run for Upper Deck, and he, Drew Hileman and Josiah Downey each had two hits.

Dean Patterson defeated Greenwood Meadows by one run in the other quarterfinal game late Wednesday. No other information was reported to the Mirror by press time.
