Cove advances to semifinals

Spring Cove qualified for the George B. Kelley Federation League semifinals on Sunday night, thanks to a 9-6 win over ReMax Realty at Vets Field in local baseball action.

Cove, which took advantage of 10 errors by ReMax, will play at 5:30 today against Park Furniture at Vets Field. The game will be followed by the other semifinal matchup, Dick’s Pharmacy vs. Martin Oil.

Cullen Gahagan had two hits and scored twice for the winners, who also got two RBIs from Mitchell Conrath.

ReMax got two hits and two RBIs from Kristian Mirenda to go with two hits each from Alex Martynuska and Tyler Lepore.
