Mtn. Lions roll past Dragons
MARTINSBURG – Altoona swept Central, 25-6, 25-11, 25-12, behind 12 service points and 12 digs from Kody Clawson in high school boys volleyball Tuesday night.
Brett Koelle had eight kills for the Mountain Lions. Austin Berkhimer led Central with four service points, and Matt Price had four kills.

BELLWOOD – Penn Cambria defeated Bellwood-Antis, 25-19, 25-12, in junior high girls volleyball action.
Lindsey Southworth had two service points, two digs and two kills for the Lady Blue Devils.

Portage juniors lose
PORTAGE – Despite Thad Albright’s three hits and Cody Wyland’s home run, Portage fell to State College, 12-9, in junior high baseball Portage fell to 1-2.
Juniata’s Elias honored by ECAC
HUNTINGDON – Juniata College sophomore Matt Elias was named Eastern College Athletic Conference South Player of the Week Tuesday after helping the third ranked Juniata College men’s volleyball team to its second consecutive Continental Volleyball Conference championship.
The 6-1 setter led the Eagles to a 3-1 win over Dominican, 3-0 win against No. 4 Carthage, and a 3-0 sweep of No. 13 Stevenson in the tournament. Elias averaged 11.5 assists per set and was named tournament most valuable player for the second straight year.
