Coach Aileen Davies’ quote: “She’s a very solid player who we can put in a lot of different positions. She really wanted to play at the next level.”

Why I picked Austin: “I picked Austin because from the start I had a connection with the coach. Then when I visited the college, I fell in love the campus and I got along great with the softball players.”

Greatest high school achievement: “When I received the first-team all-city award my sophomore year in Columbus, Ohio.”

How I got my start playing softball: “I didn’t start playing softball until eighth grade when my friend asked me to try out. And I instantly fell in love with the game. I played as much as I could because I knew I had some catching up to do compared to the other athletes my age. Luckily, I had fantastic coaches and my family to back me up and help guide me in the training process to become better as well as the recruiting process.”

Favorite college growing up: Purdue

Other interests: Reading, working out and just getting out and playing sports

What getting to play in college means to me: “When I first started playing softball, I wanted to play in college but I didn’t think I would be able to get to that level. I started working as hard as I possibly could, and I realized the harder I work, the more successful I’m going to be. I put so much work into playing college ball it means the world to me. I feel like a little kid in Disney World meeting a princess – it’s a dream come true.”
