US beats Pennsylvania; Nevills wins showdown
PITTSBURGH – The United States beat Pennsylvania, 25-16, in the Dapper Dan Wrestling Classic on Sunday at Pitt’s Fitzgerald Field House.
The main event was the 285-pound bout between three-time California state champ Nick Nevills and Solanco’s four-time champ Thomas Haines, and Nevills emerged with a 5-3 win. Haines originially commited to Penn State, but the Nittany Lions pulled their offer in favor of Nevills.
