LOYSBURG – Megan Hauser delivered 15 digs and 30 set assists to help Central top Northern Bedford, 22-25, 25-10, 25-15, 25-7, in high school girls volleyball on Monday.

Laura Ritchey added 11 kills, five blocks, four aces and six service points for Central. Savannah Devine had 18 digs for Northern Bedford.

SOMERSET – Altoona defeated Somerset, 25-16, 25-22, 25-13, to improve to 1-1.

Amanda Parrish led the Lady Spikers with 12 service points, 10 kills and two aces. Jenna Abram added 22 assists, and Shannon Albright had 22 digs for Altoona.

Hollidaysburg spikes DuBois

DuBOIS – Sierra Kirsch had 10 service points and three aces, and McKenzie Ryan collected eight service points and 12 assists as Hollidaysburg defeated DuBois, 25-21, 25-15, 25-7.

Alex Scheel had 11 kills, and Elizabeth Yacabucci added seven kills for Hollidaysburg, which improved to 2-1.

Juniata Valley beats Tyrone

ALEXANDRIA – Juniata Valley defeated Tyrone, 25-9, 25-23, 25-18, to improve to 1-2.

Michaela Smith led the winners with 16 service points, while Ashley Foor added 11 service points. Faith Leri contributed 11 kills to go with nine kills, nine service points and four blocks from Casey Bowley.

Huntingdon tops MU

MOUNT UNION – Mackenzie Garner had 26 service points, seven aces, 22 digs and four blocks as Huntingdon defeated Mount Union, 25-23, 18-25, 25-16, 25-15.

Morgan Glover had 15 service points, three aces, nine kills and eight digs, while Alycia Park-Ferretti logged 13 service points, nine kills and three blocks for Huntingdon (1-1 overall).

Savanna Zanic added 11 points, three aces and eight digs for Huntingdon, Kendall Hudy scored 35 assists and 12 digs, Natalie Romano and Paige Low scored 15 and nine digs, respectively, and Brianna Rivello registered three blocks.

FLINTON – Glendale dropped its match to Portage, 25-7, 25-13, 25-10.

Autumn Katishen had a block, a dig and an ace for Glendale. Stephanie Hamilton added two assists and three digs for Glendale.

JV: Portage, 25-9, 25-8.

Tussey defeats Claysburg

CLAYSBURG – Tussey Mountain beat Claysburg-Kimmel, 25-9, 18-25, 17-15, to improve to 2-0.

Chasity Crooks led Tussey Mountain with 22 service points, while Alexis Young added 17 assists and 13 digs. Teammate Ashley Young contributed 13 kills.

Morgan Malovich had six service points, three kills and six blocks for Claysburg.
