Lady Tigers edge Central Cambria
HOLLIDAYSBURG – The Hollidaysburg girls volleyball team opened its season Tuesday night with a 26-24, 25-22, 22-25, 25-17 win over Central Cambria in high school action.
The Lady Tigers got 12 service points from Rachel Sibold, 16 kills from Elizabeth Yacobucci and 10 assists from Sierra Kirsch.
Central Cambria was led by Taylor Bonny’s 10 kills, Heidi Hendrickson’s 22 service points and 12 assists each from Krysta Ziesman and Bonny.

BELLWOOD – Emily Hanwell led Bellwood-Antis with 23 service points as it swept Tyrone, 25-4, 25-9, 25-12.
Emily Nagle added nine service points and 10 kills for Bellwood, while Kelly Leamer chipped in 23 assists.

FLINTON – Penns Manor defeated Glendale, 25-2, 25-10, 25-6 in the Lady Vikings home opener.
Meagan McMillen had four service points for the Lady Vikings, while teammate Autumn Katishen added two blocks.
It was also Penns Manor’s opener.
