Raiders extend Condo

OAKLAND, Calif. – The Oakland Raiders signed long snapper Jon Condo of Philipsburg to a three-year contract extension, general manager Reggie McKenzie announced Sunday.

Condo, a two-time Pro Bowl selection, has handled long-snapping duties in each of the past six seasons for the Raiders.

The 6-foot-3, 245-pound Condo has played in 99 career games. He entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Dallas Cowboys in 2005 and played in three games. He was in training camp with the New England Patriots the following season and was signed to the Raiders’ practice squad in November 2006.

Last year, he notched five tackles on special teams and earned Pro Bowl honors for the second time in his career.

In 2012, Condo’s teammates voted him the winner of the club’s “Commitment to Excellence Award” for his work on and off the field.
