High school softball roundup

CRESSON – MacKenzie McIntosh and winning pitcher Kelly Yusko each tripled and singled to lift Penn Cambria over Central Cambria, 4-1, in high school softball on Thursday.

Yusko knocked in two runs for the Lady Panthers. Central Cambria’s Chelsey Long recorded two hits for Central Cambria.

Cori James and Lydia Slovikosky added two hits each for Heights, while Allison Lidwell knocked in two runs.

Sarah Gomish homered and drove in four runs for Carroll, which also received three hits from Courtney Link and two each from Brooke Menton, Janelle Gueguen and Abby Simmons.

FLINTON – The Glendale junior high team improved to 7-2, thanks to a 9-7 win over West Branch. Mackenzie Lukehart doubled twice and drove in three runs while Anna Fowler added a two-run double.
