Tussey Mtn. rolls to victory over Golden Eagles

SAXTON – Tussey Mountain won four of five singles matches and swept two doubles matches in a 6-1 win over visiting Tyrone in high school boys tennis on Monday.

Tussey (3-8) got singles wins from Moritz Ruedinger, Aaron Duvall, John Clark, and Ronald Brown. Tussey’s doubles team of Duvall and Clark accounted for one win, and the team of Stephen Willis and Charles May picked up the other doubles victory.

Tigers pound CM

HOLLIDAYSBURG – Hollidaysburg raised its record to 14-1 with a 5-0 win over Central Mountain.

Hollidaysburg got singles wins from Amir Alkhafaji, John Johnson and Eric Miller. Max Sheetz and Jordan Kirsch teamed up to win their No. 1 doubles match, and Emre Cardakli and Josh Cobler won in No. 2 doubles.

JOHNSTOWN – Bedford improved to 7-8 overall with a win at Johnstown.

The Bisons got singles wins from Jack Bittner, James Jeffries and Ben Windows, while the doubles teams of Corey Black and Kevin McDaniel, along with Andrew Heise and Nik Straka, earned wins.
