McKnight hits three homers in Central rout

SPRING MILLS – Taylor McKnight cracked three homers – knocking in seven runs with a grand slam, two-run blast and solo home run – and Taylor Garman drove in three runs, two with a homer, as Central mercy-ruled Penns Valley, 13-3, in five innings in high school softball Friday.

Central improved to 12-2 overall and 8-2 in the Mountain League.

HUNTINGDON – Kyra Shea had three hits and knocked in four runs to lead Huntingdon to a Mountain League victory over Tyrone.

Cheyanne Snyder had two hits and three RBIs for Huntingdon, which improved to 5-6 overall and 3-6 in the Mountain League.

Tyrone got three hits, including two doubles, from Jordan Henderson.
