Brumbaugh propels Dragons by Bearcats

HUNTINGDON – Chris Brumbaugh collected 25 assists and 23 service points to power Central over Huntingdon, 25-2, 25-9, 25-9, in high school boys volleyball Thursday.

The Scarlet Dragons evened their record at 2-2.

Josh Link had 12 kills and Matt Price 11 for the Dragons. Robbie Dibert added 23 service points.


CENTRAL: Dibert 23, Brumbaugh 23, Appleman 8, Price 6, Berti 2, Link 1.

Tigers beat Dragons

ROARING SPRING – Hollidaysburg defeated Spring Cove in junior high volleyball, 14-25, 25-20, 15-13 to improve to 2-3.

Madison Clapper had seven service points, including three aces, for the winners. Emily Baranik and Mikayla Focht led the Lady Tigers with a pair of kills each.

JV: Hollidaysburg, 25-19, 13-25, 15-13. Record: Hollidaysburg (2-3).

Lady Panthers win

SIDMAN – Penn Cambria defeated Forest Hills 25-20, 20-25, 15-12 to improve to 6-1.

Alyssa Montgomery and Aundria Stouffer each totaled nine service points for the winners.

JV: Forest Hills, 5-15, 25-23. Record: Penn Cambria (3-4).

Bellwood-Antis loses

BELLWOOD – Kala Wooten had three kills, three digs and a block, Hannah Klesius had three kills and Abby Luensmann had five assists, a kill and a assist, but Bellwood-Antis still fell to Park Forest, 21-25, 25-21, 6-15. The Lady Devils are 1-5.

B Match: Park Forest, 25-17, 25-16. Sophie Damiano had two kills and a dig for Bellwood (2-4).
