WTAJ putting EL All-Star game on TV

WTAJ announced Tuesday that it is teaming up with the Altoona Curve to broadcast the 2014 Eastern League All-Star game in July.

The exclusive broadcast will give baseball fans in the area a chance to watch future big leaguers. The game will take place at Peoples Natural Gas Field on Wednesday, July 16.

“We really enjoy working with the Altoona Curve. Showcasing the All-Star game on WTAJ will be an excellent opportunity for viewers to see the baseball stars of tomorrow,” Phil Dubrow, Vice-President and General Manager of WTAJ, said.

The all-star game returns to Altoona for the first time since 2006.

“WTAJ has been a fantastic partner over our 15-plus years here and we are thrilled that their team will work with ours to broadcast this signature event to the region.” Rob Egan, Altoona Curve General Manager, said.

WTAJ is owned by Nexstar Broadcasting Group, Inc. They currently own or provide services to 74 television stations in 44 markets in 18 states and reaches approximately 13.8 million households.
