Curve take nightcap

AKRON, Ohio– Thanks to Alex Dickerson’ s two run homer in the fourth inning, the Curve snapped a five-game losing streak, beating Akron late Saturday night, 7-0, before 7,039 at Canal Park.

The win was just the Curve second in the last 10 games.

Ethan Hollingsworth picked up his fifth win, going 5 1/3 innings, striking out three. Cole Cook got the lost.

IT was just the fourth time the Curve have recorded a shut out this season as Dickerson went 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Drew Maggi also went 2-for-4, both doubles, and Adalberto Santos went 1-for-3 with two RBIs. Justin Howard also went 2-for-2.

The Curve secured the win with four runs in the seventh inning.

The Curve and Aeros face off today at 2:05 p.m. in the final game of the five-game series.
