Lady Marauders earn five-set win

H.S. Girls Volleyball

JOHNSTOWN — Bishop Guilfoyle earned a five-set victory over Johnstown (22-25, 25-16, 25-11, 22-25, 15-5) in Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference action.

Abby Yahner led the Lady Marauders with 48 assists, 15 service points and 10 digs, while Lyzee Wilson delivered 20 kills, Raven Criscitello accounted for 10 points and 10 kills, and Teresa Haigh added 13 points.

Yahner leads Huskies

EBENSBURG — Mara Yahner had 21 kills, 12 digs and three blocks to lead Bishop Carroll to a 25-13, 25-21, 25-13 win over Penn Cambria.

Sara Muriceak led BC in assists (30) and digs (16), while Mia Wyland also had 14 digs.

Penn Cambria’s Ella Digruilles had 16 digs.

Lady Bisons cruise

JOHNSTOWN — Bedford swept its way past Westmont Hilltop (25-21, 25-21, 25-21) to earn the Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference win.

Riley Stahlman came through with 18 kills, Racquel Imler collected 15 assists and Hannah Lafferty led the way with nine service points for the Lady Bisons.

Everett bounces back

BELLWOOD — Everett rallied after falling in the first set to pick up a 10-25, 33-31, 25-10, 25-18 win over Bellwood-Antis.

Aly Daley had a team high 16 kills for the Lady Warriors, and Ashlyn Hicks had 28 assists. Lainie Treece and Hicks each had two aces, and Treece also had 16 serice points

Karlie Feathers and Bella Kies each had 10 kills for the Lady Devils, and Sydney Lechner had 30 assists.

Lady Red Devils rally

SIDMAN — Central Cambria dropped two of the first three sets (22-25, 25-21, 12-25), but rallied to capture the next two (25-17, 15-11) to claim a Laurel Highlands Athletic Conference victory over Forest Hills.

Cass Bezek led CC with 19 digs and 10 service points, Liz Bopp tallied 12 kills and five blocks, Kiersten Szpala collected 36 assists and Maggie Kudlawiec totaled nine points.

Records: Central Cambria (4-0); Forest Hills (2-3).

JV: Central Cambria won 25-19, 15-25, 15-8.

Lady Bulldogs sweep

CLAYSBURG — Jocelyn Shultz had seven kills and Megan Hartman had seven service points in Claysburg-Kimmel’s 25-16, 25-16, 25-13 sweep of Northern Bedford.

Mackenzie Clemmens had 12 Lady Bulldog assists. Northern Bedford’s Madison Johnson had four kills and seven blocks while Raenna Shaulis had 12 service points.

Valley spikers roll

MIFFLINTOWN — Maddy Beasom scored eight service points and eight kills, and Emma Musser registered eight digs, six service points, and four blocks, to lead unbeaten Juniata Valley to a 25-11, 25-6, 25-10 sweep of host Juniata.

Hayden Taylor had a team-leading 15 assists for Juniata Valley.

Kendall Conrad had 25 service points for the Lady Highlanders.
