Lady Colts’ Zernick takes second twice

ARMAGH — Briana Zernick finished second in the girls pole vault (9-0) and long jump (15-7.75) as Northern Cambria finished seventh overall (28 points) out of eight teams at the 2019 Heritage Conference Meet Tuesday. United won the overall meet with 116 points.

Regan Sheredy had a third place finish for the Lady Colts in the shot put (32-11.25) and a fourth-place finish in the discus (92-8).

In boys action, Lucas Seymore finished second in the pole vault (11-0) while James Platko took second for the long jump (18-3.75).

In addition, the Northern Cambria boys 400 relay team comprised of Peter Copeland, Adam Kopera, Owen Prasko and Logan Yonkoske ran to a third-place finish in 48.24 to help the Colts to fifth-place overall with 44 team points.

Ligonier Valley was the boys champion with 145 points.
