Lady Tigers down Altoona in 4

H.S. Volleyball

Hollidaysburg knocked off Altoona, 22-25, 25-21, 25-4, 25-20, in a high school girls volleyball game on Thursday at the AAHS Fieldhouse on Erin Dodson Scholarship Night.

Claire Sauerland led Hollidaysburg with 13 kills, Olivia Dipongrazio had 26 digs, and Reagan Ferguson contributed 37 assists.

Ireland McClellan led Altoona with 11 kills and three blocks, Emily Albright had 33 assists, and Julia Savino had 24 digs.

CLAYSBURG — Emma Musser led with 15 kills and 11 blocks to lead Juniata Valley over Claysburg-Kimmel, 25-22, 13-25, 22-25, 25-13, 15-9.

Hayden Taylor had 20 assists and six kills for the Lady Hornets, and Halee Smith had 12 kills and five blocks.

Corryne Weyandt fronted the Lady Bulldogs with 27 assists and 23 service points, Bailey Garver tallied 31 digs, Justinna Brown recorded 11 kills, while Rebekah Claar and Madison Frye came up with 14 and 11 service points, respectively.

Conrad leads Heights

PATTON — Olivia Conrad powered Cambria Heights, totalling 12 service points, 16 kills, 15 digs and had one block as the Lady Highlanders squeaked out a win over Chestnut Ridge, 22-25, 25-23, 16-25, 25-21, 15-11, in a Laurel Highlands Conference matchup.

Nicole McCombie had 42 assists for Heights, and Jocelyn Rezk had 17 digs.

Lydia Mock had 27 kills for Chestnut Ridge, Alaina Lafferty had 25 assists, and Makayla Weyandt had 19 digs.

Haigh delivers for BC

EBENSBURG — Anna Haigh delivered 27 service points and eight digs to help Bishop Carroll to a sweep of Bedford, 25-8, 25-14, 25-15.

Sara Muriceak came through with 14 assists, while Maddie Murphy tallied eight kills, eight points and three blocks for BC, now 6-0.

Kate Brunelli fronted the Lady Bisons with 31 digs and 10 service points, and Raquel Imler recorded 16 points.

Lizz Bopp led the Lady Devils in kills with 10 and also led with five blocks. Leah Bracken totalled 35 assists, and Emily Muffie had four aces.

Duo paces BG

JOHNSTOWN — Pam Lund and Lyzee Wilson each recorded 12 kills to lead undefeated Bishop Guilfoyle past Bishop McCort, 25-21, 25-17, 25-21.

BG, which improved to 7-0, received 16 service points and 47 assists from Gabby Krug.

Rachel Meintel added 10 kills and seven digs, Beth Yahner added 10 service points and 12 digs, while Teresa Haigh added six kills and four blocks.

Karlie Feathers delivered 13 digs and 12 points for the Lady Blue Devils, while Sakeria Haralson had 10 kills.

Sydney Lechner contributed 26 assists and three aces, and Hope Shuke registered six blocks for B-A.

Williamsburg’s Paige Gunnett had five kills and two assists, Emily Smith posted 10 digs, and Morgan Clauser had three blocks. Marrissa Harclerode and Gunnett each had three service points for the Lady Pirates.
