Heights has big day in Altoona

Cambria Heights hit four home runs and broke open a tie game with 10 runs in the final two innings to beat Hollidaysburg, 15-5, at the Altoona Tournament in high school softball action Saturday.

Emma Garrison, Carolyn McMullen, Abigail Lobick and Chloe Weakland homered for the Lady Highlanders, and Megan Cutshall and Jordynn Robertson hit long balls for the Lady Tigers.

Heights also pounded Altoona, 19-4, in a game Weakland scored three runs and had three RBIs. Lobick also homered in that game as did Sydney Rodgers.

In another game, Philipsburg-Osceola beat Hollidaysburg in just three innings, 16-1.

Maddie Lucas and Kylie Adams homered for the Lady Mounties.

The Lady Mounties also beat Altoona, 14-1, thanks to two home runs and four RBIs from Lucas. Lacey Potter also homered in that game.

CLAYSBURG — A six-run fourth inning lifted Claysburg-Kimmel to a come-from-behind win over Moshannon Valley.

The Lady Bulldogs (13-2) trailed 6-2 at that point. Winning pitcher Madison Knisely had two hits and three RBIs to go with two hits and an RBI from Raelynne Grabill. Teammates Harleigh Cavander and Haileigh Reed each added two hits.

The Damsels got two hits each from Chloe Blake and Emma Kitko, who also had two RBIs.
