O’Shell has big day for Glendale

ALEXANDRIA — Cierra O’Shell had three hits and drove in three runs to lead Glendale to an 18-0, five-inning win over Juniata Valley Tuesday in high school softball action.

The Lady Vikings (15-4) also got three RBIs from winning pitcher Lexi Mulhollen in a game Glendale led, 11-0, after two innings.

Teammate Brooke Smeal and Lauren Clarkson each had two RBIs, wihle Tessa Berger, Clarkson, Kristen Hewitt, Alaney Vereshack and Makenzie Lukehart each had two hits.

Peck finished with three hits as did teammate Madison Lucas.

Winning pitcher Kylie Adams gave up three hits and struck out eight. She walked just one.

Hollidaysburg (0-15) got two hits from Katelyn Cappella and a double from Jordan Robertson.

Hannah Heintzelman had a three-hit day for the Lady Bearcats, while Destiny Biemesderfer had two hits and an RBI, and Natlalee Shingler had two RBIs.

The loss dropped the Lady Bearcats to 8-10.
