Again, PSU basketball disappoints

Not long ago, I was praising Penn State basketball coach Pat Chambers, believing signs he was turning this program around in a positive direction.

Tonight, I watched this underachieving squad embarrassed by a Nebraska team that was 4-10 going into the game.

The Nittany Lions were outshot, outrebounded, outhustled and outcoached.

They will certainly struggle with a tough schedule the rest of the season.

They will finish in either 10th or 11th place going into Big Ten Tournament play and probably won’t make it out of the first round.

While the March Madness party is going on, this team will have finished a dismal season once again.

Time will tell when Penn State will be looking for another coach. Maybe there is another Chris Collins out there, who has done wonders with Northwestern.

As for the Lady Lions, Coquese Washington has quietly put together an improving squad that is a young team with a few seniors mixed in.

They should win one or two Big Ten tournament games and be selected for the NCAA Tournament.
