What's the solution to gun violence in the U.S.

Well? What is the solution? Or is there none, and we're just becoming a wild wild west frontier country, and no one is safe anywhere. With the ongoing news stories concerning gun violence and the senseless killing of Americans, especially children and young adults, I thought I would open the subject up to debate. So what do we do? Ban guns? Ban certain guns? Limit the amount of bullets a clip can have? Examine our mental health care in the country? All of the above? My take on the matter: There are way too many mentally unstable people running around. We definitely need to address the mental health care that these folks can access. Also, why would anyone need a clip with 30 rounds or more? Shoot a whole herd of deer? If the founding fathers were writing the Constitution today, I believe there would be some exceptions written into the second amendment. Gosh, I would hope so...... DM

I don't get it..... it's like a tease. Correct me if I am wrong but it's 'members comments'...right?

If the AM wants NO posts then CHANGE the design of the online edition.... otherwise I will continue to post and they can continue to delete.

After further review, I noticed that they're deleting other posts as well.

See ya nospin, it's been fun.

AM, please feel free to delete this post and my account as well.

See ya all on the other side..................

Is it my imagination, or did the AM just recently delete a bunch of posts in the thread started by grandpap, about the AM ending reader comments after the election?

I am pretty sure I posted in that one.

Are they now selectively deleting posts whenever they feel like it?

You know what, either crap or get off the pot.

It's really getting ridiculous to start a thread and then have some posts stick and some get deleted for no reason what so ever.

Well nospin, this may be it for me. I keep coming back here only to get shot down time after time.

It's getting old.........................

Assault weapons need banned to the public. i for one feel the need to protect myself and my small hand gun suits me just fine.

No DM we can not get rid of 'people' but we have to stop raising our children as babies till the age of 25. Mental illness needs addressed in the worst way but then you worry that the 'feel good' libs will get offended.... answere? Not sure there is one in this society we are living in.... just my humble opinion.

Hey there nospin,

Gee, where'd everybody go? It's like a ghost town around here. Looks like the AM shut down most comments everywhere, other than here.

So, whats your solution if guns haven't changed but people have? Get rid of people? That's not gonna happen.

We have to try to limit the amount of guns and ammunition, and type of guns that certain people are getting access to.

We also have to come up with stricter gun laws so that maybe people keep their guns more secure, and mentally unstable or the very young or stupid are not able to access them and use them to hurt others.

We definitely gotta do something. It's getting crazier and crazier out there.
